ACCME annual report finds more physicians, others seeking CME activities

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) 2012 Annual Report shows an overall increase in the number of physicians and nonphysicians who participate in continuing medical education (CME). More than 24 million physicians and other healthcare professionals were educated via the 130,000 educational activities offered by 2,000 accredited CME providers in 2012, according to the report.
