AOIA Physician Profile Service made an official display agent

The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) recently signed a licensing agreement with the American Osteopathic Association to designate the American Osteopathic Information Organization's (AOIA) Physician Profile Service as an official ABMS display agent, according to an ABMS press release.

The Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, National Committee for Quality Assurance, and URAC recognize the ABMS as a primary source for verifying physicians' credentials, according to the press release. Through its official display agent program the ABMS designates agents that are allowed to redistribute ABMS physician board certification data for primary source verification.
