Tardy reapplication materials are one of the most common reappointment obstacles faced by the medical staff office. To remedy this situation, hospitals may opt to send a letter to the physician informing him or her that the time within which the practitioner was to submit an application has ended and failure to submit the reappointment application is an indication of his or her wish to relinquish appointment and privileges.
