Burnout, NPDB, credentialing, enrollment, and all things medical staff services

Erin Muellenberg is a former medical staff services director in a large community-based hospital and now serves as a healthcare attorney for Polsinelli Law Firm, practicing exclusively medical staff law.  She was the chair of the NAMSS Education Committee for 2020 and 2021 and is intimately familiar with the daily operations of the medical staff organization and its governance process. She focuses on hospitals, health systems, critical access hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical groups and advises on the regulatory, compliance, and practical requirements of credentialing, peer review, disciplinary matters, and the interfacing of medical staff and allied health professional staff with hospital operations.Muellenberg caught up with CRCJ recently on all things medical staff services and credentialing.
