CMS sets new deadline to apply for meaningful use hardship exemption

CMS has reopened the submission period with a deadline of November 1 for hospitals and physicians to apply for an EHR meaningful use hardship exemption to avoid payment adjustments next year. The previous submission period for hospitals ended April 1, and July 1 for physicians.
