CRC chooses second contest winner

Congratulations to Vicki Tauer, MSM, CPCS, CPMSM, for winning March’s free seat giveaway for the 15th Annual Credentialing Resource Center Symposium. Tauer, who is the supervisor of medical staff services at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio, submitted a proctor evaluation report for FPPE. Tauer says her MSO created this form after not receiving completed proctoring forms and instead receiving complaints that the old form was too onerous.

“I wanted to make it friendly,” says Tauer of the new form. “It is an official document, but it is easy to understand, even with a non-clinical background. I do not have a clinical background and could I complete this form, yes I probably could.”

The form thoroughly spells out how to evaluate the physician under review, but it is also simple for the proctor to complete, and requires less time to fill out than the old form.

“And not take up a whole lot of time for our proctors. That is another thing. They are volunteering to do this,” says Tauer.
