CMS rolled out its Open Payments website this week and, as expected, some of the early reviews of it aren’t great. I briefly touch upon ProPublica’s first impression in “Heard this Week” but the full article, which discusses the difficulty of using the website, can be found here.

 

Politico also had complaints about the website’s slowness and incomplete records. Similarly, in a released statement, the AMA expressed its concerns with the website’s accuracy due to the low number of physicians who were able to register to review their own data before the launch.
