Employed physicians as medical staff members

Dr. Young's husband is Dr. Primus, an employed primary care physician whose practice is 100% in an ambulatory setting affiliated with Coordinated Hospital. The medical staff services department (MSSD) has absolutely nothing to report: no admissions, no consults, no procedures, no FPPE, no OPPE. Nothing! How his privileges are to be renewed is not clear to anyone, especially the chair of the credentials committee, who is furious that he has to deal with this scenario over and over. What's going on here?
