Ethical issues to address during medical training

A new report published in Academic Medicine calls for ethical issues to be addressed during the medical education of future physicians. The report’s authors suggest 20 ethics topics that must be addressed, which include:
•    Assessing patient’s decision-making capacity
•    Clinician self-awareness
•    Colleague impairment or competence
•    Cultural competency and racial and ethnic health disparities
•    Social media
