The evolving role of scribes and CIMs

Scribes or clinical information managers (CIM) provide assistance with provider documentation while increasing physician and practitioner satisfaction and improving productivity. Scribes are trained to provide real-time, point-of-care documentation whereby the scribe is physically present in the exam room as the physician is seeing the patient.
