Hospital board member injures two security guards
Tri-City Healthcare (Oceanside, CA) Board of Director Kathleen Sterling has been censured six times in the past six months, but her most recent outburst may be the last straw for the other board members, reports 10News. Sterling’s unpredictable, aggressive behavior prompted the board to bar her from the room whenever the board meets. Instead, she must sit in another room and communicate with other board members via speaker phone. When the board met on February 24, Sterling entered the room, allegedly to greet another board member, when she was surrounded by security guards (the board had hired three extra guards to handle Sterling, for a total of five). She injured two of the guards, and board members are now wondering if a restraining order is called for.
