Hospital staff adverse event report opinions not protected as work product, says Florida appeals court
Diana Acevedo, a patient, brought suit against Doctors Hospital, stating that the hospital was negligent in hiring and retaining a physician who had committed medical malpractice. As part of the proceedings, Acevedo requested the hospital's incident reports regarding her care and other documentation that referenced adverse medical incidents for certain physicians.
