The MSP's voice: In service lines and medical staff meetings, less is more

Do you remember the movie Groundhog Day? That's what it felt like to attend 15 medical staff department meetings a month, listening to the same quality and administrative reports over and over (and over) again. What's more, I was one of a dwindling few who toughed out these redundant events on a regular basis. If lunch was served, I might be joined by one or two physicians‑usually the chair and someone who got lost on the way to the lounge. They, like me, were bored witless and anxious to get back to work.
