New Jersey Superior Court affirms dismissal of physician's claims against hospital

The Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey (the "Court") upheld a trial court's dismissal of a physician's lawsuit against Overlook Hospital (the "Hospital") in Summit, New Jersey, because the Hospital and the participants in its internal peer review process were entitled to immunity from monetary damages under the Health Care Quality Improvement Act of 1986 (HCQIA) and New Jersey law.
