News and briefs: Healthcare workers trustworthy, ethical

A recent Gallup poll finds healthcare professionals are the most trusted workers in the US, reports the blog Healthwatch. Respondents rated workers based on honesty and ethical standards. Among healthcare workers, nurses received an 85% positive rating; pharmacists 75%, and physicians 70%. However, health maintenance organization managers only received a 12% rating in the high or very high ethical standards category.
