Teen arrested for impersonating physician
An 18-year-old teenager in West Palm Beach, Florida, is accused on impersonating a physician and operating an unlicensed medical office. Malachi Love-Robinson was arrested after officials received a tip that he was practicing medicine without a license. An undercover officer went to Love-Robinson’s office for an exam, during which he claimed to be a “doctor of homeopathic medicine.”
Love-Robinson was previously caught impersonating a physician in January 2015 when he sat in on at least one gynecology exam at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He had been seen roaming the halls of the hospital for about a month wearing a stethoscope and white lab coat. Last October, he also opened a clinic in Boynton Beach, which he shut down after the Florida Department of Health issued a cease-and-desist order.
Love-Robinson also faces charges for stealing checks from a patient during house calls, which he allegedly forged and cashed for nearly $3,000.
