Tip of the week: Don't nominate leaders at last minute

Nominating medical staff leaders from the floor (i.e., at the last minute) does not allow enough time to adequately consider the interest and capabilities of each nominee in advance of the general medical staff vote and may entice well-meaning candidates who may be flattered by their colleagues to volunteer for a leadership position that they may not be prepared for or want to serve.
