Tip of the week: Evaluate your FPPE plan annually

Many medical staffs work hard to develop good processes, put them in to place, and not look at them again for 10 years. A best practice is to conduct an annual evaluation of the FPPE process. Bolster the successful components and change areas that could use improvement. No processes exists that cannot be improved with time.

This week’s tip is from Proctoring and FPPE: Strategies for Verifying Physician Competence by Robert J. Marder, MD, CMSL and Mark A. Smith, MD, MBA, CMSL.
