Tip of the week: Use role-playing to develop physician leaders’ communication skills

Role-playing allows physician leaders to practice responding to realistic case scenarios in a low-risk environment. Physician leaders are provided with feedback to help them identify and master effective communication strategies. This technique works especially well when small groups of physician leaders critique each other's performance.
