The top earning physician specialties

Orthopedic surgeons had the highest salaries among physician specialties in 2014, according to a survey conducted by The Medicus Firm. They earned an average of $499,000, which was nearly a 3% increase from 2013. Cardiologists came in second with an average salary of $443,000, followed by gastroenterologists ($424,000), urologists ($416,000), and radiologists ($403,000).
