Train staff, review committee members for successful peer review

The foundation for much of peer review is case review. And although medical staffs have been conducting case reviews for years, that doesn't necessarily mean it's done consistently or well.

There can be much variation in the effectiveness of case review among different medical staffs and even within the same medical staff, and often that problem arises in the absence of a well-defined, well-documented process built on sound principles, according to Robert J. Marder, MD, president of Robert J. Marder Consulting.
