Unlicensed procedures are not worth the risk

Dear readers,

Since taking over as editor of Medical Staff Leader Insider, there’s rarely been a week where I don’t come across a story about someone being arrested for offering unlicensed medical services, usually cosmetic procedures. Obviously we shouldn’t blame the victims in these stories but some of them have to know they’re going to unlicensed facilities, right? Going to an industrial warehouse to get liposuction should raise a few red flags.

So why do some people risk their lives going to a bogus medical office? Is it the lower prices? I’m all for saving a few dollars but if there’s one thing you shouldn’t try to skimp on, it’s medical services.
