What to look for in an effective executive

In response to changes to the healthcare industry as a result of the Affordable Care Act and retiring baby boomers, hospitals may have to revamp their executive lineups soon.

 

H&HN Daily recently examined the skillsets new executives should have to ensure they can successfully lead hospitals. It recommended hiring committees seek out candidates that have the following:

·         The ability to encourage collaboration between departments

·         Diversity of experience

·         A commitment to data-centricity

·         An entrepreneurial spirit
