Workers at unlicensed medical practice face additional charges
The staff at Health and Beauty Cosmetic Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida, faces additional charges of practicing medicine without a license, as more alleged victims of botched surgeries step forward.
Dr. William Marrocco, Juan Carlos Pinzon, and Monica Daza have each been charged with an additional 15 counts of practicing medicine without a license. Along with a fourth individual, Jorge Nayid Alarcon, police arrested and charged the three back in February after the Department of Health received a complaint from a former patient that unlicensed cosmetic surgeries were being performed at the office.
According to Palm Beach County Assistant State Attorney Aaron Papero, the most recent charges stem from 15 more former patients. More than 46 patients plan on pressing charges.
Despite the fact that Marrocco was the only licensed physician on staff, former patients claimed that Pinzon and Alarcon would often perform cosmetic surgeries such as tummy tucks and breast augmentations resulting in pain, disfigurement, and the need for additional surgeries.
