Persevering in a pandemic: MSPs endure as the COVID-19 crisis continues

When we hear the terms frontline workers or people on the front lines, we often picture medical scrubs and stethoscopes, physicians covered head to toe in personal protective equipment, nurses treating patients, and so forth. First responders such as police officers, firefighters, and EMTs may also come to mind, as well as those working in pharmacies and grocery stores—potentially exposing themselves to the virus in order to protect us or enable us to continue to obtain our essentials. The person most people do not picture is the MSP, who plays a crucial role in determining whether physicians and other clinical practitioners are trained, competent, and eligible to practice medicine on those front lines.
