The VA scandal's impact on private hospitals

The big news that’s been dominating the news cycle recently is the criticism facing the Department of Veterans Affairs. The agency faces allegations of falsifying records to hide long wait times for treating veterans. A new initiative aims to remedy the problem by allowing veterans to seek care at private hospitals and clinics.  At a time when many private facilities are already facing challenges providing timely care, this will probably affect wait times and overworked physicians.
