AMA supports FSMB's interstate medical licensure compact

At its interim meeting earlier this week, the American Medical Association (AMA) adopted a policy supporting the Federation of State Medical Board’s (FSMB) model legislation for an interstate medical licensure compact. The compact is designed to streamline the process for physicians seeking licenses in multiple states.

 

The AMA pledged to work with the FSMB, medical associations, and other stakeholders to ensure adoption of the compact.
