Dear readers,

You’ll notice this week’s edition of Medical Staff Leader Insider is dominated by CMS news. Most of it was announced last Friday just as many of us were probably gearing up for the holiday weekend, but now that we’re all back to work, it’s time to absorb this information.

 

I’d be interested in knowing how the settlement offer for inpatient claims is received. Will hospitals accept the settlement to avoid the hassle of the appeal process, or will they hold out for the full amount they believe they are owed? Let me know what you think.
