Thank you to everyone who responded to my note in last week’s edition of Medical Staff Leader Insider about the return of house calls. The comments were unanimously in favor of them. Many with experience making house calls commented on how gratifying it was and how appreciative patients felt. Others wrote about how convenient house calls could be to the elderly and those with mobility issues, how they could prevent the spread of infectious diseases, and how they could reduce emergency room visits and repeat hospitalizations.
