Healthcare employers face recruiting challenges
A recent survey of healthcare employers conducted by Health eCareers found that the number of healthcare positions will increase but finding qualified candidates to fill those roles will be challenging.
Almost two-thirds of the employers surveyed said they will have the same number or more job openings this year than in 2014 but nearly half said finding qualified candidates was the biggest recruiting challenge.
Physicians and surgeons were the most difficult to recruit, followed by registered nurses, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. The most difficult specialties to hire for were family medicine, psychiatry, internal medicine, and dermatology.
