In the 2015 MSP Salary Survey, 33% of respondents said they oversee other departments/services. This number increased by 2% since 2014 (and there were also more respondents this year). The breakdown of what departments/services they oversee is as follows:

- Provider enrollment: 21%
- Graduate medical education: 16%
- Quality: 11%
- Risk management: 8%
- Patient safety: 5%
- Health information management: 4%
