Botched unlicensed silicone injection leads to murder conviction
A Philadelphia jury convicted Padge-Victoria Windslowe, 45, of murder following the death of a dancer who died after having silicone injected in her buttocks.
Windslowe, a former madam and hip-hop performer, was charged in the 2011 death of Claudia Aderotimi, a 20-year old dancer and college student from London. The silicone injected into Aderotimi’s buttocks moved to her lungs and stopped her heart within hours. During her testimony, Windslowe bragged about doing black market body-sculpting to thousands of customers in hotel rooms and “pumping parties” despite have no medical training.
The jury chose a third-degree murder conviction for Windslowe over a lesser conviction of involuntary manslaughter. Windslowe was also convicted of aggravated assault and two weapons counts for her use of industrial-grade silicone. She faces up to 40 years in prison for just the murder conviction.
