Empathy training for physicians

With patient satisfaction scores now factoring into Medicare reimbursements, healthcare providers are putting more emphasis on empathy training to improve physicians’ bedside manner. According to researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, physicians can see noticeable increases in patient ratings by undergoing as little as three 60-minute training sessions on patient empathy.
