ABMS invites public comment on the proposed standards for MOC program

The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) is asking for comments on proposed standards for its Program for Maintenance of Certification (MOC). These standards will provide a framework for member boards to use when developing their programs for MOC while allowing the flexibility to tailor programs to specific disciplines, according to the ABMS. The comment period will close November 20, 2013. Following review of the feedback provided during the comment period, the proposed standards will be considered for approval by the ABMS Board of Directors at its January 2014 meeting. Standards will take effect in 2015, according to the organization.
