New survey reveals providers' experiences with telehealth
Eighty-six percent of providers reported having positive experiences using telehealth, according to a survey conducted by healthcare software company CoverMyMeds.
CoverMyMeds surveyed 1,000 patients, 400 providers, and 328 pharmacists in September and October 2020 about their experiences with telehealth appointments. Thirty-two percent of respondents reported a decreased rate of patient no-shows due to telehealth. Additionally, 26% said telehealth usage decreased appointment lengths and 23% said telehealth decreased their number of appointments per day.
However, 39% reported that telehealth usage increased their administrative burden. Fifteen percent also said telehealth decreased their patients' adherence to their treatment and medications plans.
