MSPs play a key role in protecting their facilities from risk and ensuring patient safety. However, there can be a disconnect among top staff as to who "owns" patient safety and who is most responsible for it, as the story below shows. The surveyed C-suite members and risk managers recognized that everyone has a part to play in protecting patients, and many of them agreed that medical staff is an “Influential Internal Entity,” but only 4% of each respondent group cited medical staff as most responsible for patient safety.
