Patients prefer finding treatment online

Sixty percent of U.S. adults would rather search online for treatments for non-life threatening medical issues than deal with paperwork to see a healthcare professional, according to a recent survey.

The survey, conducted by Harris Poll for global technology company Ricoh, also found that 79% of respondents said they felt more connected with their providers who don’t spend a lot of time on paperwork during visits, and 77% believed the time healthcare providers spent on paperwork cuts into time that could be spent with patients.
