Tips for recruiting physicians

With a projected shortage of up to 90,400 physicians by 2025, according to a report released by the Association of American Medical Colleges, hospitals may struggle to recruit qualified candidates. Health eCareers recently released tips to help healthcare recruiters find the physicians to meet the shortage. It suggests hospitals:

·         Anticipate shortage cycles and plan ahead

·         Design new types of compensation packages

·         Build and nurture your pipeline

·         Stretch the chain of command

·         Use technology, and use it wisely
