Society of Hospital Medicine and Press Ganey work together to create patient satisfaction tool
The Society of Hospital Medicine and Press Ganey have together created a tool for measuring, reporting, and improving patient satisfaction, according to PRNewswire. Previously, there has not been a methodology to measure hospitalist-specific patient satisfaction, but one was sorely needed as patients often do not have a relationship with their hospitalist prior to being admitted to the hospital. The new tool allows hospitalists to identify patients with a picture and a name, and hospitalists will receive biannual performance data to supplement their ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE).
