Survey: Physician assistants improve healthcare
October 23, 2014
An overwhelming majority of patients believe physician assistants (PA) improve quality of healthcare, according to a study conducted by Harris Poll for the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
The survey conducted in September of 1,500 U.S. adults found that 680 had interacted with PAs in the last year. Of those respondents, more than 90% said PAs would help address the primary care shortage, make it easier to get appointments, improve patient health outcomes, and improve the quality of healthcare.
