AOA: Support growing for single GME accreditation system

More than 40 state, specialty, and national associations have endorsed the single GME accreditation system, according to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). “The osteopathic medical profession continues to make significant progress toward building the single system, including development of processes for educating institutions and programs, making appointments to committees, and developing standards. … Ratification of our first two ACGME Board representatives is expected to occur at the September board meeting,” an AOA website post stated.
