NCQA seeks input on HPA changes

NCQA is accepting public comments through April 8 on proposed changes to its Health Plan Accreditation (HPA) program with the aim of encouraging plans to focus more on value-based strategies. Insurers, consumers, employers, and other stakeholders are welcome to advise NCQA on the primary way it evaluates health plans. Proposed changes include:
- A new Network Management category of standards
- New requirements to strengthen NCQA’s ability to detect systematic issues related to Utilization Management
