CMS projects modest healthcare spending increases
September 20, 2013
A report from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of the Actuary found that U.S. healthcare spending growth over the next 10 years will be modest in comparison to historical trends. Increased spending will be the result of an improving economy and more accessible and affordable health coverage, CMS announced earlier this week. Lower rates of spending growth are expected to continue through 2013 in key areas such as hospital services and drug spending.
