Get organized with the right forms for medical staff meetings
When preparing for medical staff or committee meetings, the first form you should consider developing is a meeting checklist to help you ensure all preparations are made.
A second important form is the attendance sheet. Ask each member to sign in at the start of the meeting (invited guests should also sign in). Keep in mind that the medical staff services department is responsible for compiling all attendance records and integrating them into the physician profiles for the reappointment process.
A third important form is the committee actions tracking form. This form helps you keep track of when each committee must submit a report to the medical executive committee. Include the following: date, action, follow-up, and person responsible. The MSP should notify all committee chairs of their deadlines and responsibilities on a regular basis.
