Join us at the CRC Symposium
December 22, 2015
Don’t forget that the 2016 Credentialing Resource Center Symposium is fast approaching. The symposium, which will be held April 7-8 in Orlando, Florida, will feature engaging education and training taught by leading credentialing and medical staff experts. Sessions will cover a range of topics to help medical staff professionals and physician leaders build and foster a more effective medical staff.
Sessions include:
- Verify & Comply: Understand, Implement, and Comply with Medical Staff Requirements. This session provides a thorough explanation of the biggest pain points in CMS regulations and accreditors’ medical staff standards. Attendees will learn the similarities and differences in the organizations’ requirements and gain compliance best practices. Presenters Sally Pelletier, CPMSM, CPCS, and Carol Cairns, CPMSM, CPCS, will provide strategies for acing standards compliance at your organization.
- Challenges at the Time of Appointment and Reappointment. You know you need to review medical staff applications for any red flags. But after you spot an issue, what do you do? Is an applicant who was arrested for marijuana possession as a teenager treated the same as an applicant who was recently arrested for assault? This session will discuss how to solve challenges that often come up while reviewing a physician’s application for initial or reappointment, such as deciphering malpractice history findings, obtaining references from other hospitals, and getting physicians to submit complete applications. The presenters, Hugh Greeley and Todd Sagin, MD, JD, will also discuss how to present this information to appropriate medical staff leaders and committees.
In the weeks to come, CRC Daily will feature content to give you a taste of what you can expect at the symposium.
