More MSP Week celebrations!
Capt. Dione Harjo, MPH, CPCS, area credentialing officer at Oklahoma City Area Indian Health Service took time last week to celebrate her team of MSPs. Her team has always been remote, so MSP week is particularly special, as it is often the time when they reunite in person for "planning, training, team building, and homecooked meals," according to Harjo. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team was unable to meet this year. However, Harjo still wanted to recognize and honor the MSPs on her team and so she crafted star-themed care packages.
"I sent a personalized star thank you card packed full with star confetti, some desk swag (little encouraging desk name plates), character socks, Starburst candy, Orbit candy, and popcorn with some 'cheesy' sayings. I decorated the inside of the Priority Box with fun paper and sayings that they are a STAR in patient safety! Then, I added a pair of reindeer glasses and a Grinch easel for their desks to push out the year 2020. I am going to get pictures of all of them in their reindeer glasses and put together a Christmas card for our CMO, CDs and HQ leadership," she says.
She adds that they had a virtual coffee break at the start of the week as well as Lunch Bunch Crew times to eat and play games.
"We had loads of laughs and fun, something we all need during a worldwide pandemic and the presidential election!" she explains.
