Take the 2015 MSP Salary Survey!

Overall, the U.S. economy seems to be doing better than in recent years, but has that upturn come to your office? Has your facility hired you some help? Have you gotten a raise? It’s time for the 2015 MSP Salary Survey to shed some light on the state of the profession. Last year, we expanded the annual MSP Salary Survey with several new questions. When the final results were tallied, 804 medical staff services professionals had weighed in, and figures from the 2014 MSP Salary Survey revealed:

  • 29% of survey participants work in facilities that have one FTE medical staff services professional.
  • Close to 24% make between $30,000 and $40,000 per year, while less than 5% make under $30,000 annually.
  • 76% of respondents work in Joint Commission-accredited facilities, down slightly from 2013.

What will this year’s survey show? Please take a few moments to complete the 2015 edition. More responses make for a sharper picture of where MSPs work, what duties they perform—and, of course, what the salary landscape looks like. (Less frozen, perhaps?)

The results will be included in an upcoming CRCJ newsletter and on the CRC website. And in return for completing the survey, you’ll be eligible for a drawing to win a copy of The Top 45 Medical Staff Policies and Procedures by Todd Sagin, MD, JD, or the on-demand webcast Verify and Comply presented by Carol Cairns, CPMSM, CPCS.
