Happy Medical Staff Services Awareness Week!
It's National Medical Staff Services Awareness Week, a week to celebrate and honor the hard work carried out daily by MSPs. In honor of this, CRC is featuring photos, write ups, and messages from medical staff services departments around the country about how they are celebrating or recent accomplishments their department has made. It's not too late to share! Email CRC editor Delaney Rebernik your photos and messages and your organization could be featured on Credentialing Resource Center.
Today's entry comes from Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia. Venus Bradley, MBA, CPCS, senior manager of medical staff services and executive affairs writes:
"Attached is a photo of the Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Medical Staff Leadership Team along with the president and CEO, two MSPs, and a patient.
"In honor of Medical Staff Services Awareness Week, we are disseminating fact vignettes and other key information about the profession in our bi-weekly newsletter, on our education televisions, and via information tables. We made an announcement about Medical Staff Services Awareness Week at our medical staff meeting on November 2 and will be making one at our Board of Trustees meeting on November 8.
"We are celebrating with Munchkins and coffee from Dunkin Donuts at the beginning of the week and ending the week with beverages and a pretzel tray from Philly Pretzels.
"A short quiz will be issued on Wednesday, November 8 and due on Friday, November 10. It will be a contest and the winner will walk away with 'bragging rights,' including his or her name being published in our employee newsletter.
"All staff are invited to celebrate with us (MSPs)."
