New association for accountable care organizations founded

In the news this week, 60 accountable care organizations have joined to form the National Associations of ACOs (NAACOS). Other news includes potential changes to healthcare laws to accommodate physician shortages, and cost-cutting measures taken by some organizations to address budget concerns.
Bill Mills returns to the CRC blog to discuss nurse-to-patient ratios and their connection with quality of care. Although he believes that some organizations do need to address these issues, he argues that legislators shouldn’t be making those decisions.
