Early results of the 2018 MSP Salary Survey support the increasing trend of MSPs taking a greater role in provider enrollment and delegated credentialing activities. Although the survey is still open, so far this year, five respondents said they held the title of provider enrollment manager, compared to only 1 respondent in 2017. Also, 59% of respondents have said they perform delegated credentialing activities during their normal course of work and 34% perform provider enrollment activities during the day. This is an increase from last year, with 54% of respondents saying they perform delegated credentialing activities and 30% saying they perform provider enrollment duties. The results so far also show that 32% of MSPs work in departments that offer provider enrollment services (compared to 27% in 2017) and 36% work in departments that offer delegated credentialing services to managed care/health plans (compared to 33% in 2017).
